Show & Tell Tuesday's

Since I don't have kiddos I can't share how I prep MY personal kids, but I do work in a school and have a few things that I do and that I prep in my office for the middle schoolers that breeze through there daily.

One:
Stock my candy jars!
I work in the child study team office.  For those of you who don't know, that's the office that deals with the students with special needs. So I typically see students daily once school is going. I'm who they see first. Whether they're upset, having a bad day, need a break or just want to say hi, I love when they visit. I usually have chocolates, mints and some type of hard candy. The teachers enjoy this as well!
At Christmas time I have little candy canes, and chocolate hearts for Valentine's Day and so on. I try to keep up with it all because everyone really appreciates it. So for September I have tootsie rolls and jolly ranchers usually.

Two:
A million pencils
The kids always need pencils. And some teachers are a bit stingey when it comes to giving them out. Not me. I have a container of them on my desk for the taking. Need a pencil? Take one!

Three:
Extra Folders and Binders
It's like having kids really, lol, but honestly, some of these kids don't have much to work with and need supplies. So we like to keep stuff on hand so they never are without the essentials. So we keep all kinds of paper, binders and folders just in case!

Four:
Mentally Prepare!
Each year we get the 6th graders who are nervous and scared. 7th graders who think they've got it under control but still get a little turned around and the too cool 8th graders. I love when the kids stop by but sometimes it gets a little crazy. But that's ok. Crazy keeps me going!

To those prepping for BTS already, good luck!! I still have a whole month!
