Williams Sonoma & Pottery Barn

Now that Halloween is over and it's November, I'm officially looking forward to Christmas!

I wish I could take all of Pottery Barn

&
 all of Williams Sonoma
and have it ALL in my house.

I mean, I love all.of.it !!!!!!
Gaaaah, the money I'd spend if I had free reign! Woo

I love this time of year especially at these stores...
Here are some of the things I have and some of the things I want...

Pottery Barn

So I really love the stockings from Pottery Barn.

2 years ago, I bought them for Ted and I
Once were engaged.  :)
Then last year I got 2 more small ones..
One for "The Cats" and one for "Jake"

I couldn't love them more!
I have the maroon ones with the white cuff.
My mom has the maroon ones with green cuffs for all of us.
They are the best stockings ever!!
And this past week I finally found something to hang them on that's SUPER cute!
I don't have a pic of it and I put it away already, but its a piece of rustic looking wood painted white with the saying
"The Stockings Were Hung..."
and it has 4 hooks!
Perfect!

~
Aside from ALL the Christmas things especially their pillows,

I want ALL the baby stuff!!!
I mean.............

And I know I'm going to be buying one of these chairs!

Williams Sonoma

Each year my mom and I go shopping a few days in November and December.
Williams Sonoma is always a stop.
We usually pick up Peppermint Bark

This stuff is seroisly the most amazing peppermint bark ever.
It's pricey, for sure, but SO worth it!

I also have this black apron which I love!!
I want to get one in red to match my kitchen and have it personalized.
Maybe I'll do that and order my favorite soap....
This smells amazing.... the scent is "Winter Forest" and it smells just like Christmas!
I always get it for November/December/January
But sometimes I get this version, which is cheaper and comes with a spray and soap instead of lotion.

Not to mention EVERYTHING else this store offers.... from pots/pans to cookbooks and sauce starters and cake/muffin mixes to cookie cutters and kitchen gadgets. This place is the best. I love going and wandering around.

So that is my PSA for two of my favorite stores...
In no way am I getting any compensation, I just love them and wanted to share my thoughts!

Have a great week!!
:)

Show & Tell Tuesday - Day in the Life

Linking up to share a day in the life!

On the weekdays, my schedule is pretty straight forward and usually the same.
I wake up at 5:00ish and make Teds lunch. Sometimes I lay back down until 5:40 but most days I don't.
After that, I kiss him goodbye and he heads out for work. That's around 5:25. Then I feed the cats and the dog
I usually tidy up and thing that may be laying in the kitchen/living room, but I tend to do that before bed so I move on to the shower.
I usually listen to the Bob Marley Pandora station while I'm showering.
After my shower I get dressed and ready for work. I throw my lunch together in my lunch bag and give my pup a cookie and head out. This is around 6:35. Then I stop at either Quick Chek or Dunkin Donuts for tea or hot chocolate.
Then get my butt to work.
Work is pretty standard. I'm there from 7-3 and eat breakfast at my desk around 8:30.
Then take my hour lunch break anywhere between 11:30 and 1:30.
My new office location is pretty nice. this shot was in the midst of our move so it looks a bit messy.
I leave work at 2:55 and head home. Once I get home I let Jakey out and get dinner prepped. Then I throw in a load of laundry.
Ted gets home at about 4:00. We chat for a bit. If it's warm out, we hang out in the patio and play with Jake. Sometimes we take a walk or run a few errands.
We head back and I get dinner going then we eat. We both clean up and usually watch a show or two on tv.
At this time I'll blog or go on Pinterest.
Once were both sleepy we get ready to go to bed which entails: scooping the liter box, letting the dog out, locking to doors, getting a glass of water, brushing teeth/washing faces and snuggling in bed while we watch full house.
This all typically starts to happen around 9:00.

It's not that exciting but it's our little life these days. I'm sure things will change come April :)

Happy Tuesday
Thankful to have this week off!!
And thankful that I only have 66 days until my last day!
Being a working girl is ok - but I'm soooo looking forward to being a mom and staying home! And I'm SO luck to have such an amazing husband who is on board with me leaving work in January!

Crock Pot Recipe ~ Beef Stew

Linking up with Mel from The Larson Lingo to share my favorite crock pot recipe!!

I've most certainly blogged about this before because it is so darn delicious!
It's not entirely "dump and go" but it's worth the extra effort, I promise!!

Crock Pot Beef Stew

What You Need:
2 pounds beef (I used London broil)
½ cup flour
1 tablespoon seasoning salt
2 tablespoons olive oil
½ teaspoon black pepper
1 large onion, diced
2 bay leaves
¼ cup Worcestershire sauce
2 cups water
3-4 Beef Bouillon cubes, crumbled up
4 medium to large red skinned potatoes, washed & diced
3 large carrots, peeled & sliced
1 stalk celery, diced

What You Do:
If you didn't buy the meat that is pre-chunked up, cut your steak pieces to your size liking.
I like to cut it on the smaller side because no one likes
gnawing on a humongous chunk of beef.
In a zip lock bag, add the flour & seasoning salt.
Throw in your beef and shake it up until it's coated.
Heat the olive oil in a skillet & add the floured stew meat to the pan.
Brown on all sides.
Remove using a slotted spoon or tongs & place into the bottom of your crock pot.
Season with pepper (The seasoned salt gives you that salt element, so just use pepper)
Sauté the diced onion in the same hot skillet for 2 minutes.
Don't worry about cleaning it out in between - that's added flavor!
Transfer the onions into the slow cooker as well.
Pour the Worcestershire, water, & crumbled up beef bouillon into the skillet and whisk until mixed, making sure you scrape up any browned bits in the bottom of the pan.

Turn off heat & set aside for a minute.
Add the diced potatoes, carrots, celery, & bay leaves to the slow cooker.
Pour the broth mixture in the crockpot as well.
Cover; cook on low for 8 hours.
If the sauce isn't thick enough, make a slury of 1 TBSP of corn starch and 2 TBSP warm broth from the crock pot and mix up well, then pour in and stir around a bit.
Remove the bay leaves before serving.
Enjoy!

I know it's not entirely crock pot because of the searing and sautéing and what not, but give yourself a little extra time to do this and then dump everything in and crank that baby for 8 hours on low. It's delicious.
Seriously.
My husband LOVED this!
